National media promoting campaign



“A must” at least one VIP should be the centre of this campaign. One proposal would be Virgil Iantu because of his greatest talent referring to junior public.
Chosen VIP through personal example - will bring fwd to the public knowledge – which is most important advantages for playing golf.

Potential sponsor: any company that invest in golf in a way or another.

International partners: golf international authorities + companies that has the interest of selling their products for golf in Romania.

Interlocutors: the most important golf players from the country and aboard, along to presidents of National Olympic Committee and Sport Minister.

The actual activity of this series of events will consist in:
1. two advertising spots, made by the chosen VIP, will intrigue people to play golf. Those spots will be on air at 3-4 regional radio and 1 national with 6-7 times/day frequency, at maxim audience time table. Campaign will last entire year but especially under the end of November.

2. Small interview with most important golf players will appear at sport news bulletin or at other important programs of the day. Also could be given in place of the advertising spot. Insights, live or registered, from national competitions must be found on air and on line on strongest media trust from Romania.

3. Will be associated national TV channel as media partner of entire action. Here a series of short programs with promoting character will declare why this sport is an ideal option for spending free time.

4. A special space will be dedicated to this campaign on the web site: www.golromania.org where this campaign will be properly promoted. Here also will be a forum and blog for discussions on this subject. Newsletter will be sent to any potential interested person to participate or to be informed (with the limit of 100 top contacts from 10 different industries). With this occasion the full English of the same site will be official launched.

5. Golf lessons will be made available at promotional prices at request. First 1 hour lesson will be free for any new client.

6. At the end of each year when campaign was up and running, a national competition will be organized at Pianu or in Bucharest. Then by a festivity different prices will be awarded (example: as member of one golf club) for those that helped campaign the most. The budget and program of this events remains to be established with sponsors.

7. The media campaign will be re engaged on each February and will implicate a fully qualified PGA couch. This will give an even hire quality and greater success for this type of action.


What could be given in return for those that assures their support for the common good of this initiative:
1. Advertising on www.golfromania.org and its newsletter.
2. Member quality inside Golf Clubs along invitation at important events organized during the year.
3. Free golf lessons for juniors and at preferential prices for adults.
4. Image gained as a direct result of being part of this event.
5. At the end of the year event they will receive advertisement space in host club.
6. Each golf club that participate will receive a marketing/image tool acting on their interest but also an increased number of clients. More than this will be paid to them the day of course renting for the event.
7. Any other detail that the sponsor requests and obtains trough negotiation.

Estimated budget:
1. for news twice per week at 4 regional radio and 1 national, adv spot creation, interviews and articles in written media TV and radio = 15.000 – 20.000 euro.
2. Golf Clubs implicated: 5000 euro.
3. Tourism & Golf Development = between 700 - 1000 euro.

These figures may rise very much or decrease, in accordance with the amplitude of the Campaign as utilization of the products that media companies assure.

Income source:
Main source are companies which, as they choose, will contribute with funds or products.
Each par of the budget will be spent on contract base agreements with media representatives and clubs implicated.

The more you learn, the more you want to learn.

In learning about the wonderful game of golf, there can be the danger of wanting to improve too fast. There is no substitute for practice if you want to improve!
