Andrews"... Aceasta diploma ii permitea sa semneze contracte cu numeroase cluburi din orice tara, de pe toate continentele. Salariul? Anual, intre 800.000 - 1.000.000 dolari.

Golful - sport exclusivist?

In plus, pregatirea unui teren de golf se face in cel putin 1-2 ani,...

Jorgen explanation & advice concerning competitions

The match play championship usually starts by playing 36 holes stroke play and then the best 8 or 16 or 32 or 64 players (depending on the total number of players) advance to the matchplay stage. No handicap, just open. Some countries, like Britain or Germany hold this tournament open to all nationalities other countries have them for nationals or members from golf clubs in that country. You decide. (I would make in International, but that is me).

The stroke play version is usually 72 holes stroke play without handicap. Send invitations to the other federations inviting them to send entries. They will pass them on to their national players. To get more entries, I would also suggest sending them to golf clubs in Holland, Britain and Germany so that normal handicap players (5-18) would get a chance to play in an amateur championship.

Pro golf. There is no world wide pro golf organization. You organize your tournaments, if you pay enough, players will come, is the way the system works. There are small cooperation’s, but in general they do not like each other to much. If you play on US Tour for example you need to ask permission to play a tournament somewhere else.

There are 2 main tours. The USPGA Tour and the European Tour. The no 1 through 125 players on the money list by the end of the year is allowed to play the tournaments the next year. There are always invitations by the sponsor, usually 4. In Europe, the country where a tournament is held can have 8 national players and 4 amateur players. In September, This week as a mater of fact there is something called Tour school. All over Europe, for the European tour, there is a qualifying tournament. All pros and amateurs with an official handicap of 2 or less can participate. They all pay 2000 € to play. On 6 courses 100 to 120 players play 72 holes.

The top 20 or 30 players go to the next round. In November, on 3 courses in Spain, these top 30 players from each tournament come together there and play 72 holes on these 3 courses. The top 30 from these tournaments go to...... Final stage Tour school. The numbers 30 from the 3 previous tournaments are now joined by the number 126 to 200 of the European tour from the previous year. The play 6 rounds, with only the best 90 players playing the last 2 rounds. The top 35 from this tournament become members of the European tour for the next year. The numbers 36 to 90 are allowed to play the challenge tour. Okay Marius.

Both the European tour and the USPGA tour have a first and second division. In Europe this is called the challenge Tour, in the US it is called the nationwide tour.

A lot of European countries that are not big or rich enough to organize tournaments on the big tour, will organize their national championship as part of the challenge tour. Russia and Kazakhstan and Finland and Luxemburg for example. Underneath this are a number of smaller tours where the numbers 1 through 5 on their money list can play on the challenge tour the next year.
I will start from the ground up..

Amateur tournaments all over Europe. The EGA will try to combine them all but each country will be responsible for the organization. Then, and this is important, there is no connection between amateur and pro golf. Some federations have an OPEN national championship, for amateurs and pros, but usually have these big tournaments organized by professional agencies.

The lowest form of pro golf is ...The mini tours.
In Florida they’re a 10 or 20 different mini tours. Each player pays, between 60$ to 1000$ per tournament. The top players will be paid. There is usually no sponsor for the smaller tours. A winner on the smallest tour, them on light tour can win 300$ to 400$ if he wins a tournament. On the Hooters tour, sponsored by Hooters, a chain of bars where the girls waitresses all have big breasts, hooters, you pay 800 $ to enter a tournament and when you win a tournament you can win 10.000 $ first place.

In Europe, there are small pro events in every country, organized by each countries PGA. These tournaments are only for local PGA members.
France organizes a mini tour open for all players, but you will need to qualify. This qualifying is open to all PGA members from other countries. This qualifying, the dates and stuff, I will send you. They also have a winter circuit. 23 24 November there is a qualifying for the French tour, in Cap d Agde) the Europe’s version of SODOM. More info later.

There are 4 different 3 rd level tours. The EPD Tour Germany Holland Austria Poland Czech republic. The Alps tour, in Suisse, Austria, Italy and France.
The Euro Pro Tour in England and the Nordic league in Scandinavia. The charge between 70 euros entry fee for the Alps tour to 200 euros for the EPD Tour.

www.epdtour.org           www.alpstourgolf.com                www.europrotour.com
My advice is to organize first a mid European amateur circuit, with the surrounding countries, Czech, Slovak, Turkey, Poland, Russia. etc. Then let the top players play in EPD tour events and then try to organize the Romanian open as part of the Alps tour.

Perfect practice makes perfect

Even the most talented players need to practice. Since hitting golf-balls does not make you as tired as running, cycling or swinging, professional golfers spend more time practicing than any other sport.
